This
month, the 17th Lyon Comics Festival announces a partnership with Amadora
BD,
to celebrate Portuguese and French comics. In addition to a
transversal and diversified program, including exhibitions,
delegations of artists and professionals, debates, performances,
drawn concerts and editorial licensing, the partnership’s objective
is to reinforce the visibility of the talent and creativity of
authors from both countries, in an event that takes place from June
1st to 30th,
at the Hotel de Ville.
The
action of the Portuguese delegation, in light of which is intended to
highlight the artistic-cultural exchange in the area of comics
between the two countries, investing, therefore, in the valorization
and recognition of this literary genre and its active agents, takes
place between June
10th and 12th,
marked, among other activities, by the inauguration of the collective
exhibition “30+1:
Comics don’t Quarantine,”
promoted by Amadora BD for its 31st festival, in 2020, alluding to
the influence of the global pandemic on the comics community.

the thirty authors that make up the exhibition, I am also featured,
with a page taken from CoBrA:

Este
mês, o 17º Festival Lyon BD anuncia uma parceria com o Amadora
BD,
para celebrar a banda desenhada portuguesa e francesa. Além de um
programa transversal e diversificado, incluindo exposições,
delegações de artistas e profissionais, debates, performances,
concertos desenhados e licenciamentos editoriais, o objectivo da
parceria visa reforçar a visibilidade do talento e da criatividade
dos autores de ambos países, no evento que decorre de 1
a 30 de Junho,
no Hotel de Ville.
A
acção da comitiva portuguesa, à luz da qual se pretende salientar
o intercâmbio artístico-cultural na área da BD entre os dois
países, investindo-se, desta forma, na valorização e
reconhecimento deste género literário e dos seus agentes ativos,
tem lugar entre 10
e 12 de Junho,
sendo marcada, entre outras actividades, pela inauguração da mostra
colectiva “30+1:
A BD não faz Quarentena,”
promovida pelo Amadora BD para o 31º festival, em 2020, alusivo à
influência da pandemia mundial na comunidade bedéfila.
