The
AmadoraBD comics festival begins in two weeks, and in addition to
signing books for Ala dos Livros and participating in the
presentation of the anthology inVISÍVEIS, I'll be releasing a
new title from my publisher Arga Warga, the compilation of webcomic
Cadáver Esquisito!/Weird Corpse!
This
book marks three milestones: first, the centennial of the cadavre
exquis production method’s conception, which served as
framework for this initiative; second, the 10th anniversary of the
webcomic’s completion, which became the most extensive collective
comics’ story ever produced in Portugal; and third, the 25th
anniversary of the debut of Arga Warga Editions.
Presented
at the 20th FIBDB, in May-June, where it was part of the festival's
exhibitions, I now share the cover lineart, that shows the Reaper
who ended up "stealing" the webcomic's narrative, along
with peeks at other villains in the story. Ultimately, a title like
Weird Corpse! couldn't do without skeletons or bones...
The
drawing was created in A4 format in the traditional way, but the gray
tones were put together digitally.

presença com autógrafos pela Ala dos Livros e participar na
apresentação da antologia inVISÍVEIS, vou lançar o novo
título da minha editora Arga Warga, a compilação do webcomic
Cadáver Esquisito!
Este
álbum marca três datas: primeiro, o centenário da concepção do
modo de produção cadavre exquis, que serviu de estrutura à
iniciativa; segundo, o 10º aniversário da conclusão do webcomic,
que se tornou a mais extensa banda desenhada colectiva produzida em
Portugal; e terceiro, os 25 Anos da estreia de Arga Warga Edições.
Apresentado
no XX FIBDB, em Maio-Junho, em que fez parte das exposições
patentes no festival, partilho agora o desenho da capa, que mostra o Ceifeiro que acaba por “roubar” a narrativa do
webcomic, mais espreitadelas a outros vilões da história. No final de
contas, um título como Cadáver Esquisito! não podia passar sem
esqueletos e ossadas…
O
desenho foi feito em formato A4 de modo tradicional, mas os tons
cinzentos foram criados digitalmente.
