This
month marks the 36 and a half anniversary of the summer 1986 release
of James Cameron's Aliens, for 20th Century Fox,
starring Sigourney Weaver (Ellen Rippley), Michael Biehn (Lt. Hicks)
and Carrie Henn (Newt) in the lead roles. As I did recently, I took
advantage of my morning warm-up hours to doodle this illustration,
evocative of the movie, which is still an important landmark in
science fiction/horror today and introduced the world to the brave
Colonial Marines.
Este
mês, celebra-se os 36 anos e meio da estreia, no verão de 1986, do
filme Aliens, de James Cameron, para a 20th Century
Fox, com Sigourney Weaver (Ellen Rippley), Michael Biehn (Ten. Hicks)
e Carrie Henn (Newt) nos papéis principais. Tal como fiz
recentemente, fui aproveitando as horas de aquecimento matinal para
rabiscar esta ilustração, evocativa do filme, que ainda hoje é um
marco importante da ficção científica/terror e apresentou ao mundo
os Colonial Marines (Fuzileiros das Colónias).
