the invitation of the promoter/critic Hugo
Pinto,
I was challenged to illustrate the top of Vinheta2020 blog for the 1st half of the year, following four other colleagues.
The blog, which started in January 2020, quickly established itself
as one of the most dynamic channels of information about comics in
Portugal, not only in disseminating book releases and comics events,
but also contributing to various initiatives that promote the field.
My
small illustration features the two iconic space opera characters
Flash
Gordon
(by Alex Raymond, 1934) and Metabaron
(by Alejandro Jodorowski and Moebius, 1981), in a sword duel.

convite do divulgador/crítico Hugo
Pinto,
fui convidado a ilustrar o topo do blogue Vinheta2020 para o 1º semestre do ano, na sequência doutros quatro colegas. O
blogue, que arrancou em Janeiro de 2020, depressa se afirmou como um
dos mais dinâmicos canais de informação sobre banda desenhada no
país, não só na divulgação de edições e eventos, assim como
contribuindo como diversas iniciativas que promovem o sector.
A
minha pequena ilustração figura as icónicas personagens espaciais
Flash
Gordon
(de Alex Raymond, 1934) e Metabarão
(de Alejandro Jodorowski e Moebius, 1981), num duelo de espadas.
