Three
weeks ahead of the inauguration of the 4th Barreiro IlustraBD, the City Council has already announced the event’s program, which
has a new format this year, focusing mainly on individual
exhibitions. The show will also invest in new styles, diversifying
from the fantastic theme, predominant in previous editions: through a
partnership with publisher Penguin Books, it will exhibit Balad
for Sophie,
by Filipe Melo and Juan Cavia; author António Jorge Gonçalves
presents the new exhibition “Drawing in the Dark;” Marco Mendes
brings us the biopic Juventude;
and for the collective exhibition, publisher Ala dos Livros presents
its “Portuguese Wing,” with the participation of authors Luís Louro, Marcos Calhorda, Daniel Maia, Diogo Campos and Hugo Teixeira,
and also masters Jorge Magalhães and Augusto Trigo.
The
graphic image will be penned by Barreiro author Ricardo Reis and the
artist Eugénio Silva, a native of Barreiro, who died at the end of
2022, will also be homaged.
The
4th Barreiro IlustraBD takes place between April
15th and June 4th,
at AMAC (2pm-7pm), and expands beyond the Augusto Cabrita Municipal
Auditorium, with an exhibition in the City's Municipal Library
Gallery (April 22nd, 4pm) and a workshop at Auditorium Manuel Cabanas
(April 29, 11 am), and will include a Book Fair with autograph
sessions, various colloquiums, workshops and film sessions. Entry is
free.

três semanas da inauguração do 4th Barreiro IlustraBD,
a Câmara Municipal do Barreiro já anunciou o programa do evento,
que este ano apresenta um novo formato, apostando, sobretudo, em
exposições individuais. O salão apostará também em novos
estilos, diversificando da temática fantástica, predominante nas
edições anteriores: através de parceria com a editora Penguin

Marcos Calhorda, Daniel Maia, Diogo Campos e Hugo Teixeira, e ainda
os mestres Jorge Magalhães e Augusto Trigo.
O
autor da imagem gráfica será ao autor barreirense Ricardo Reis e
estará em destaque também o artista Eugénio Silva, nativo do
Barreiro, que faleceu no final de 2022.
O
4º Barreiro IlustraBD decorre entre 15
Abril e 4 Junho,
no AMAC (14h-19h), e expande-se além do Auditório
Municipal Augusto Cabrita,
com exposição na Galeria da Biblioteca Municipal da cidade (22
Abril, 16h) e workshop no Auditório Manuel Cabanas (29 Abril, 11h),
e vai incluir uma Feira do Livro com sessões de autógrafos, ciclos
de colóquios, workshops e sessões de cinema. A entrada é gratuita.
