Graphic novel CoBrA: Operação Goa (Ala dos Livros) continues to generate reactions from readers, after being present at the Lisbon and Porto Book Fairs, in which the available stock soldout and was – as per the booksellers at Convergência pavilion – the Portuguese comic volume which sold the most. I gather now a further handful of brief reviews:

BandasDesenhadas:
“(…) With this graphic novel, Maia proves his versatility as an illustrator, in a work that is more extensive than those he has us accustomed to – being even the first of an announced series –, which delights the eyes of readers.”

"The illustrations are brilliant, or were they not produced by Daniel Maia. The script would need to be sharpened a lot. However, given that this is Marco Calhorda's first comics work, I'll stay tuned, waiting for the next works.” – SF

Cristina Alves, in Os Rascunhos:
“A necessary work about an almost forgotten moment in Portuguese history. The narrative presents a strong historical basis, contrasting the information with the presentation of battle moments.”

“(…) And finally, a graphic novel – comic books –, CoBrA: Operação Goa, by two Portuguese authors, Marco Calhorda and Daniel Maia, about the invasion of Goa, Damão and Diu by the Indian Union, in 1961.
