The 17th Beja International Comics Festival was inaugurated yesterday, at Casa da Cultura, and will be held until June 12th. Featured in the event will be a small exhibit titled “Bandas Desenhadas Awards: Anthropomorphization of Seasons of the Year”, featuring the four original characters created by Daniel Maia (drawings) and Susana Resende (colors).
These
illustrations were done for the Bandas Desenhadas Awards, to
illustrate the tri-monthly nominations, which follow the seasons of
the year, with a Winter Iceman, a Springtime Floral-woman, a Summery
Crabman and a Autumn Owl-woman. The images will be presented at Beja
Comics Library, where the announcement of the winners of last year’s
awards will take place.

17º Festival Internacional de Banda Desenhada de Beja foi inaugurado
ontem, na Casa da Cultura, e decorre até 12 de Junho. Em destaque no
evento estará uma pequena exposição intitulada “Prémios Bandas
Desenhadas: Antropomorfização das Estações do Ano”, com as
quatro personagens originais criadas por Daniel Maia (desenhos) e
Susana Resende (cores), em 2019.
Estas
ilustrações foram feitas para os Prémios Bandas Desenhadas, para
ilustrar as nomeações trimestrais, que acompanham as estações do
ano, com um Homem de Gelo invernal, uma Mulher-Floral da Primavera,
Homem-Caranguejo do Verão e uma Mulher-Coruja alusiva ao Outono. As
imagens serão apresentadas na Bedeteca de Beja, onde decorre o
anúncio dos vencedores dos 3ºs Prémios, do ano passado.
