XVI Troféus Central Comics – Winners / Vencedores

The winners in the XVI Central Comics Trophies were revealed yesterday through their YouTube channel and we're pleased to announce that, between the two nominations conferred to us by the readers, O Infante Portugal em Universos Reunidos/The Infante Portugal in Gathered Universes WON as Best Short Story, with 32%! Regarding the nomination for Best Independent Publication, we achieved an honorable 2nd place with 28% of the votes (coming in close to the winner, with 29%).
Obviously, I'm thankful for the show of appreciation by the fans (who did us the favor of buying all the print run within seven months of release, even without a stores distribution) and appreciate all that voted for us.

Congratulations also to José de Matos-Cruz (the characters' creator and writer), Susana Resende (guest artist), Daniel Henriques (guest inker) and Nuno Silva (colorist and designer), plus veteran masters José Garcês and José Ruy (two special camoes) for their inspiration, given that they're the sagas original illustrators.

 Foram ontem revelados os vencedores no XVI Troféus Central Comics, através do seu canal no YouTube, e é com prazer que anuncio que, entre as duas nomeações que nos foram conferidas pelo público, O Infante Portugal em Universos Reunidos, VENCEU a categoria Melhor Obra Curta, com 32% dos votos! Quanto à nomeação de Melhor Publicação Independente, atingimos um honroso 2º lugar, com 28% (numa votação renhida com o vencedor, com 29%).
Obviamente, fico agradecido pela demonstração de apreço dos fãs (que nos fizeram o favor de esgotar a tiragem de 250ex em sete meses, mesmo sem distribuição em lojas) e aprecio o gesto daqueles que votaram em nós.

Um enorme parabéns também ao José de Matos-Cruz (criador das personagens e escritor), à Susana Resende (desenhadora convidada), ao Daniel Henriques (arte-finalista convidado) e Nuno Silva (colorista e designer), mais os mestres José Garcês e José Ruy (duas participações especiais) pela inspiração, dado serem os ilustradores originais desta saga.

Although it's nice to have various work stages in ones portfolio, while I draw it's often hard to break the focus and scan them. Therefore, especially when inking my own pencils, where I usually just leave them loose and finalize it all in black, the best I can do is take some snapshots.

Embora seja bom ter várias fases de um trabalho no portfolio, enquanto desenho é difícil de quebrar o foco e digitalizá-los. Daí que, especialmente quando arte-finalizo os meus próprios lápis, que frequentemente deixo soltos e finalizo depois em tinta, o melhor que posso fazer é ir tirando fotos.
